With decades of hands-on experience in cannabis facility ownership, design, and operations, CEAD Owner Advisor was built to solve the real facility procurement challenges owners face. Our founder Randy Shipley has led design and consulting efforts for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) businesses across the U.S., including two cannabis companies in Virginia and Pennsylvania that each sold for over $80 million. That deep operational insight — from concept through sale — informs every feature of our platform. Our experience ranges from craft facilities with less than 1000 s.f. of flower canopy to facilities with more than 50,000 s.f.
Large or small, we work with all! Randy has been a partner in a property used by caregivers in Michigan since 2009. We self funded the build out of a 5,000 square foot facility that also has 16 acres zoned agricultural. In 2023, we started growing outdoors as well while adding a large freezer and processing fresh frozen for ourselves and other cargegivers in Michigan with toll processing. Our heart and soul is with craft growers!
We understand the risks of biased recommendations, incompatible systems, and vendors who prioritize commissions over your outcomes. That’s why we’ve built a procurement solution that’s owner-first: bringing transparency, automation, and control to the selection of both equipment and professional services. Whether you’re building a new facility or scaling an existing one, our tools streamline RFPs, compare bids side-by-side, track budgets in real time, and ensure every decision aligns with your business goals.
From lighting and HVACD to architectural, engineering, and construction services, you’ll get direct bids and objective insights — no hidden markups or referral fees. CEAD keeps your procurement process private, professional, and fully aligned with your bottom line.
